Alberta Energy Regulator confirms its institutional corruption
No surprise: AER approves Northback's Grassy Mountain drilling plan
As expected, the Alberta Energy Pseudo-Regulator approved fresh invasive exploration of Grassy Mountain by the Australian mining buccaneer Hancock Prospecting (aka Riversdale, Benga, Northback).
This is just another in a series of corrupt decisions by the AER which has dropped all pretence of independence from extraction companies or the UCP government.
Shamelessly, premier Danielle Smith employs a member of the AER board in her own office. (AER board member brazenly moonlights with $156,000 job in premier's office)
The AER cravenly ignored its own 2021 rejection of the Grassy Mountain scheme by accepting the government’s ludicrous categorization of it as an “advanced project”.
In typical incompetence, the AER labelled much of its decision with a large “Draft” watermark. “Daft” would be more appropriate.
The AER has been institutionally and politically corrupted by Daniella the Separatista. One may fairly ask whether intervening groups are just legitimizing the bogus AER process.
Between this and Bill 55 and the death of public healthcare, it's looking seriously bad. We can do a non confidence vote. What can be done now. Is it game over?
Folks keep saying write to the Premier. Done several times but she only concerns herself with her base. My MLA would be as useless. Our rights are being stripped. She behaves like she owns Alberta. She doesn’t nor does the UCP.
