Alberta Energy Regulator rigs the game once again
AER CEO quashes scheduled hearing to please Summit Coal
AER CEO Rob Morgan bent to Australian speculator Summit Coal’s demand that public hearings on its application for Mine 14 expansion near Grande Cache be cancelled. Summit wants the AER to issue approvals “in a timely manner” without further public participation.
“ . . . Summit respectfully requests that the AER grant the Applications without a hearing and issue the applied-for approvals in a timely manner.”
Alberta Wilderness Association and Canadian Parks and Wilderness Association were both preparing to submit evidence to the hearing set to start October 21.
Summit Coal is controlled by the Warburton Group, an Australian hedge fund that has a history of involvement in coal projects in Australia and Canada.

Time for another rally outside...and inside the AER....now they just ignore public hearings. One wonders whose giving the "marching orders"......rhetorical question. Time for a little "good trouble".....
Keep up the good work Dave.
