Alberta's Minister of Agriculture is missing the point
The UCP just isn't getting the picture about water in terms of sustainability.

Hi all.
I’m thinking most of you, like me, are continually frustrated with the way at which the Alberta Gov’t. looks at the concerns around water and it’s sustainability as an essential resource. Build more dams? Does anyone in their science staff have the ability to reason through the idea of watershed structure and the preservation of that? How clear cut logging plays into the mix alongside motorised abuse of the backcountry? The allowances made for road infrastructure for industry? Or perhaps the reality we view annually with less and less snowfall and minimal rainfall? I’m guessing that there are those people in government and they do recognise these issues in the formula of failure, and that they and their thoughts are simply dismissed.
The attached article is RJ Sigurdson, Minister of Agriculture and Irrigation, speaking in a Q&A with the press. Much of it is about Trump’s tariff threats but if you want to bypass that, scroll down to the water issues. Yep. He’s got this all figured out. Then you can give your head a shake.
