An Exhibition in Lethbridge
Hi all.
On this Substack we talk a lot about water, coal and selenium among other things, while at the same time recognizing the historic foundation of communities via coal mining. We acknowledge that it is a rich history to look back on and appreciate the value it represented back in the day, especially for those looking to establish a better life for themselves.
However, when we fast forward to present day with the expansive knowledge that is now so well documented respective to coal mining, it gives us pause to take a more cautious, considered, and holistic view of our future and that of our grandchildren regarding continued coal mining.
The exhibition Water: Beauty and Beast addresses the aforementioned concerns surrounding the sanctity of clean water and the peril of its contamination which already exists in some of our waterways.
I would encourage you to attend this exhibition if you are able. And I would add that to see Donna Bilyk’s 196 piece panel is absolutely moving beyond belief. I have been so moved.
