In an area of England known as Cumbria, an arduous process has finally come to a close.
Thankfully, the tables are continuing to turn on coal mining, both for pure economics and most gratefully, for environmental concerns that are, in fact, realities. When the higher courts are agreeing with conservationists insofar as human health concerns go, due to imminent pollution that is unquestionable, as well as general environmental degradation, more companies seem to be getting the message.
With any luck, even more companies, ahem, with the help of our courts here in Alberta and Canada as a whole, will take there ball and go home. Perhaps Danielle Smith might take notice of what continues to go down in the UK and maybe, just maybe, can whisper the secret in Brian Jean’s ear.
