It was a forgone conclusion that the Brian Jean /welfare oil controlled AER would give Northback the permits to drill and divert water (in a drought, no less) Now is the time for caring Albertans to get boots on the ground and do some civil disobedience. it's never too late to do the right thing....getting active is a GOOD thing for the planet and the headwaters of the Old Man river.

Given this was the first ever hearing for a coal exploration program, some of which were permitted by the AER under the NDP, your narrow interpretation of the decision is somewhat one-eyed.

Your comment on drought lacks scientific merit given the water demand for the drilling is less than 1/2 of the olympic pool at UofLeth.

Get active on something that will actually affect water. Fertilizer, weed spray, and animal faces.

your limited view of reality is showing…as per usual….and your so-called facts have been reduced to bs by real scientists….you must be a UCP wannabee or a Northback adherent…..we went through the process in 2021 with both levels of government saying NO to the project, Northback went to court 3 times and got a NO. I guess democracy is not your strong suit….better move to the US …..or maybe Australia.

You do know that we're talking about a drilling program, not a mine.

Oh, and if you read the drill decision, which is clear you haven't, you'll find that the Hearing Commissioners found the so-called evidence by the "real scientists" to be sorely lacking.

But I don't look at the world thru rose coloured glasses the way you do Paul.

Vested interests have control over all levels of government in Canada.

Corporate Friedman Capitalists and diaspora ethno-nationalists make our democracy and our

"Common Good" a sham.
