Ministers Jean and Schulz tried to deliberately mislead Albertans into thinking something was being done and that our environment and water would be protected.
It was only when the reporters asked questions that the truth came out.
1. The new coal policy and regulations will be developed together with the coal industry and implementation is at least a year away.
2. Grassy Mountain is exempt from new policy and regulations.
One reporter called out the ministers on their attempt to deceive Albertans.
She asked them if it wasn’t disingenuous of them to not say at the outset that Grassy Mountain was exempt.
The whole media event was an attempt to lie and deceive Albertans.
We can’t trust our provincial government.
