New Zealand is planning to shift gears very soon from coal to electric arc

With a change that has likely been in discussions for some time, New Zealand is intent on moving forward with transitioning from coal fired furnaces to electric arc steel production. One more move which will lessen the “demand” for coal and presumably lower its sale value and projected revenues spouted about by proponents.
