Piikani Elders to hold Crowsnest Lake prayer ceremony for mine-poisoned fish
Please join us at the western end of Crowsnest Lake (lots of parking space) at 10 am Tuesday.
The Alberta government advisory that the trout of Crowsnest Lake are not fit for human consumption has mobilized Piikani Nation elders whose treaty rights to traditional food have been abrogated.
Elders Morris Little Wolf and Brian Yellow Horn will lead a prayer ceremony at the large parking area at western end of Crowsnest Lake Tuesday at 10 am.
We urge everyone to attend, show their respect for First National treaty rights, and their concern over the poisoning of Crowsnest Lake by the foreign-owned Tent Mountain coal mine.
