Albertan Country star Corb Lund has been a vocal opponent to coal mining in the Eastern Slopes of the Rockies for several years, and to him, this announcement was just more of the same.
"I've been listening to the government's coal announcements for four years now, and every single time it's a tap dance," Lund said. "And to me it was a big Orwellian word salad. And I really didn't take much from it. I guess my main translation of that, into my speech, would be, Grassy Mountain's all good to go and we'll let more mines in after that, once it's in place. That's what I heard."
