They will struggle with, if not dismiss, the curtailing of clear cut logging given that they intend to support industry. That said, it should be hammered home all the more that re-evaluating the Water Act needs to be addressed at the headwaters itself, both with logging and mining. It’s beyond me that gov’t can raise concern over water use and availability while at the same time endorse water allocation for coal mining. Why is this so hard to understand?

Low water levels and signs of impending drought in the Prairie Region make the establishment of a total Saskatchewan or Rupertsland Watershed Protection Agency an imperative.
This should be a Federal/ InterProvincial body with the power to protect the most important substance for humans after clean air from headwaters forestry, mining and other polluting endeavours.
