There is always petitioning to the Lt. Governor to have him dissolve the Legislature, and force a new election: if a dozen MLAs have had successful recall petitions, I’d say UCP have lost the confidence of the electorate. That and Smith and her UCP idiots could be charged with treason, another valid reason for the Lt. Governor to act.
It may be a ceremonial roll, but it is also our office of last resort. Politicians need to be reminded for whom they are working from time to time, outside of the election cycle.
They just keep doubling down on changing laws to cut out the Courts/Justices. Appointing themselves as the judge and jury. That is authoritarian. That is not democracy. Writing to MLA’s seems to be quite useless as they are bought and owned by the dic-tater. We have been stripped of rights, representation and instead are met with doubling down on doing the opposite of what the majority want. I was transferred here from Quebec after the 1995 referendum so this is very much deja vu to me and very triggering. Being abused and threatened by UCP is not okay.
They want to join the US. I feel sorry for the people of Alberta and I sincerely hope the recall works in their favour. They have been taken hostage .

Nous nous souviendrons.
We are Canadian.
It sounds like Alberta is turning into a dictatorship. It’s time for a general strike.
And it is strictly up to Albertans to stop this. Only they can.
