So there are regulatory processes totally sidelined. Totally. Apparently no one has the authority to ensure the rights of Albertans or First Nations? So under what authority does a foreign company seek a court order to deny local people the right to protest? No authority for the first. No authority for the second.

What the hell is going on! This is the only forest between the Divide and Crowsnest Mountain, and it is somehow legal (????) for a logging company to clear cut it down to nothing? The Eastern Slopes are what, 15 or 10 Km wide in total (!) on the east side of the Divide at this point; lands barely able to sustain the Oldman Watershed as it is (arguably no longer able due to bad land development decisions and unchecked industry) and we would find ourselves in a situation of having a government authorizing this? Mostly bad on "us" - Albertans dogmatically voting conservative with little knowledge and engagement with what is going on. However, with the litany of unilateral acts of arbitrary harm done on Albertans in the last 3 years by Dictator Smith and her sycophants, I am angry at the UCP and their captured "Regulators". Not a single directive in Smith's so-called "Mandate Letter" to the Minister of the Environment to protect the Environment for the long term benefit of Albertans. All directives and every one, a different missive to find ways to use the environment to build out the Province. No common sense, no listening to science, no informational process. No First Nations genuine consultation or any consultation at all. No wonder this extreme destruction of the environment. Kill first, divide and distract later. Disgusting.

The West Fraser's consultation with the public and especially with the First Nations was pathetic. There needs to be transparency with the public. There was never an open house, which is also a pathetic attempt by West Fraser to make things transparent in the Crowsnest area which is directly affected by this egregious clear cut. In the sake of calling it fire preparedness is just a lie.
