Once prime habitat for Westslope Cutthroat Trout, Crowsnest Creek is now a fish killer, pouring Evolve Power's selenium poison into Crowsnest Lake where fish have become unfit for human consumption.
It’s funny how all this has made me question something from the past. I grew up Catholic so we ate fish every Friday. My dad would go to Buck Lake and catch fish for our family. My whole childhood. He went ice-fishing ever winter. Then in his older years he became deadly allergic to the fish. He became very ill when he ate them and had to stop. Now I’m wondering if the fish were poisoned. The dates for me would be 1960-1988 or so. We never ate them any more. I feel terrible for the First Nations people mourning this terrible loss.
This is a beautifully done video-congrats. Hopefully Evolve Power's failure to clean up the Tent Mountain mess can be put to the Panel of 5 that are on the stand tonight in Fort Macleod.
Maybe ask the same question about Lafarge at Exshaw, who the NDP fully back.
